Well, my girl Kate and I were at it yet again and had three wonderful clients lined up to be transformed.  And what transformations!

These sessions are just amazingly sweet, I must say, sweet as in 'sweet emotion' sweet.  They are magic. They are fun. I am constantly laughing (not AT the clients...WITH the clients:) lol. And no matter how uncomfortable they are, we soon warm up, I seem to be able to tap into every person! That must come from me working in Human Services and getting to know and understand people. I love meeting people. I love learning. And most of all...I love to LAUGH!

And Kate ALWAYS seems to bring it. It's always brought. Yes, I said it. I am dying to be invited out to a wedding so I can utilize her services. I'm sure she could do a decent amount of work on me! Soooo...who's wedding am I invited to then? Seriously...

We also tapped into a bit of Boudoir. How very beautiful and tasteful. Almost made ME want to do a session...almost:) However,  I will be refraining to post some of these images out of respect for my clients:) 

What is that I hear you say? You want to partake in one of these sessions? What's that? Your husband will remember how beautiful you truly are (aside from the spit up from baby Mac/and the mop in the other hand alongside the briefcase you are hulling to work). Yes, aside all of that. He NEEDS to see you in this light. YOU know how beautiful you are! And heck, YOU need to see yourself in this light! 

So how much???? Could you SERIOUSLY even put a price tag on such transformations? On the EXPERIENCE?  We will be bringing this package to you for the small price tag of $300. This is for a 1.5 hour hair and makeup session, and a 1.5 hour photo session. THREE HOURS of absolute bliss. And as stated, you MUST go out and unleash your beauty to the world, they must be privy to it! So go on, splurge. We also do discounts if you want to have a girls night out experience, can you even imagine! Some bachelorette party that would be. Something to remember...

So have a wee look at some of the crazy fun we had...and even TRY to tell me you don't want to partake!

Mz. Kate in ACTION! I might also add that this tenacious girl is also launching her very OWN LINE of makeup...how does one even do this? We'll never know, but she does!

Now meet Mara! She's so much fun! We giggled through out the entire time. She's beautiful and REAL, down to earth. :)

Then I had the pleasure of meeting Simone. Now, who doesn't just LOVE that name. Simone just speaks SEXY to me. Now THIS girl, was entirley too much fun. By the end of the shoot, I may have declared her my new best friend (sorry Karen, you've been demoted).  I think personality speaks volumns about a person and really SHINES through to the images that you see infront of you.

 

And last, but not least...Mz. Courtney. She's stunning.  I don't think I captured ONE bad image. Nope, not one.

Some ruthless marketing I have to do...seriously!  

In all seriousness, I will be setting up shop with my girl Kate (Makeup Artist) at the ULTIMATE WOMENS SHOW right here in Hamilton:)  We will be also teaming up with Girls Night Out Wines. Oh give me strength, wine and firefighters? Yes please!  

Kate will be doing mini makeup sessions, and I will be right behind her taking pictures for people to see the transformation. You MUST come down and make an appearance!

This will be occuring from May 4th-May 6th located at the Careport Centre in Hamilton.  I look forward to seeing you down there! 

How is it even possible that each shoot gets better and better? Perhaps the wrong wording, each session has it's own unique charm.  I'm so engaged. It's so brilliant.

Lindsay and Steve, now that's true love if I've even seen it! They were naturals! We hit each pose spot on, and then continued on with genuwine candidness.  

Not to mention Steve lugged around my 'bag of tricks', through out the hermitage, which was ever so kind, pretending not to break a sweat ;)  

And what a wonderful backdrop.  The Dundas Conservation area was incredibly esthetically pleasing, everything just fell into place.

I am ever so pleased to have experienced these moments with them.  What lovely individuals.  This baby is blessed.

I just had to laugh. As I am becoming more and more familiar with the practices and business acumen of photography, I see this coming up time and time again.

It is so true, right fellow photogs?  However, with saying this, we (and I) understand that there is a process. Such processes such as 'Portfolio Building' enables amateur photographers to gain experience, while offering their services for free or at a minimal charge.  I do beleive you have to gain respect within this industry, and we all start somewhere. 

However, my hopes are that people and potential clients RESPECT this process, and actually do VALUE what I am doing.  During such a stage, I hope people are able to look back and see that this was a great experience and actually valued the quality of the services that I've provided to them.  This in turn, gets spread through word of mouth. It's 'un-said', in my experience anyways, that they will promote me and express the amazing value that I've given to them.

The problem here is photographers lowering the bar and quality by offering 'cheap' sessions and digital files that get processed at their local Walmart. Ugh.

So why do we charge what we do??? Because after all, we just take 'pictures' right? And please, I express this rant with the up-most respect!!  We charge for the endless hours of learning the art of photography, hours spent on learning how to use our equipment appropriately, learning and naviagting through editing software and also not to mention the expense of the software and the equipment used to take those 'pictures':)

And probabley my favourite : the time that has been taken away from my family. And surely you too can understand that.

I say all of the above with a light heart, in hopes that you understand why we charge what we charge. I also hope that you see the value of your images.  And to compliment this post, I shall post another on just that! Return soon!!!

Well, we all like results, and these are just ah-mazing.  This is EXACTLY what I had envisioned when I was planning out this project, and I hate to toot my own horn, but I slammed it (pat on the back for me!).

These girls were beautiful from the get go, but with the help of Kate (and myself I might add ;) , we were able to REALLY capture their beauty, and I was just lucky enough to bring it all together. 

I think EVERY girl should be a 'model for a day', don't you? Don't we deserve it?  We all have had those times when we thought, 'god I look and feel good today!', and we just strut it like no tomorrow:)   Well imagine having one of THOSE days, but times that by TEN! Yes, TEN! It is IMPARATIVE that you go out following one of these sessions! It's a must, in fact, you must sign a release that you will unleash your beauty onto the world (okay, okay, getting out of hand), but you see where I'm going?
