Operation Portraiture Underway

Okay, so the new Marshalls opened yesterday, and I just HAD to stop by. And looky-loo what I found! How exquisite, no? It is giving me a 'Black Swan' feeling, but a happy one? Does this makes sense in your head?  I've gotten a large enough size that it can fit all of my models tomorrow, and can pin at the back.  And you know what, I might just have to slip into it myself later on, is this wrong? I don't think I can resist!

Other than the general excitement of tomorrrows happenings, I am saddened that it will be a cooler day with a chance of frost/snow? Didn't we just have 28 degree weather last week (perplexed look)?  I was hoping to take some of the models outside, as Julies (host) house is absolutley filled with amazing backdrops of greenery, barns and old fashioned swings. Sigh.  I beleive will have to plan another session!

My goal for tomorrow you ask?  I'm hoping to show the beauty of each model, well, it isn't helping that my models are beautiful anyways, but for future marketing purposes, perhaps someone will get the courage to appraoch me and say 'I can be that beautiful too, and I know you are the one to help me'. Indeed I am:)

I'm so over the moon to go through this whole process, and so humbled that so many people are helping me acheive this goal of creating such a kick a** shoot:)

Keep your eyes posted!

Isn't she lovely...(thinking Lionel Richie)

WOW. That's all I can say. Yesterday's pre-shoot became somthing so much more then a 'pre-shoot'. I walked away with a natural high, and we laughed through out the whole shoot.

Julie was a natural (mind you, she will beg to differ).  She has fluidity, she takes direction, she's willing to try and willing to laugh at herself.

Through various scenes, I found myself jumping up and down, because I knew I hit it. She looked smokin'.

I am so pumped for this weekend!

Operation Portraiture

I have one name for you...SUE BRYCE.

She is a Glamour (yes, I said Glamour) GOD.  She has inspired me to take on a marvelous project that I'm ever so excited about. She started from nothing and made herself into something. I'm in awe.

She wants EVERY woman to be beautiful.  And she does acheive that.

So I had set out to find myself some wonderful willing volunteer models, and someone to work out hair and makeup.

Check and Check. Facebook is really such a powerful tool. I had marketed to my realm of facebook friends, and what an OVERWHELMING resposne. EVERYONE wanted to be a 'model' for a day. Free hair and makeup, complimented by a photoshoot. Sigh, bliss.

And the makeup artist...YAY ME for the snag:) She's not only beautiful, but she has an extensive background and came equipped with an awesome portfolio.

Kate Hutcheson. Check her out. She's awesome.

So with saying ALL of the above, today I'm working with another wonderful willing model, Julie Reise. She's been kind enough to let us use her house for a location. It's old and victorian and the outdoor landscapping is breath taking.

Julie is going to be my trial, where I can work with her lighting and get a good understanding and layout of how the light hit's, where and when.

Ill will post some images tonight for your perusal, fingers crossed because OPERATION PORTRAITURE is coming to fruitation! TO BE CONTINUED:)
